Was anyone else driving with their van today? We found it to be a terrible day for pulling the van. We were travelling in gusty winds, sometimes a tail wind , sometimes on the side, sometimes a head wind. The farmers knew there was rain coming (it has since been pouring since we set up) and were sowing their paddocks as quick as they could. The wind was doing it's best to blow their top soil as far as it could. I got some good shots of dusty skies! We were glad to reach our destination today. I've just looked at the forecast around the east of the country and your turn is coming if you haven't already had it.

Glad you made it OK NeilnRuth. Hope it all improves for you on the rest of your trip, it sounds like you've had lots of "interesting" experiences! I remember we had a perfect day at Streaky Bay followed by a scary storm, then it was strong wind and rain for several days as we came Eastward. The locals said thats sandard weather for the area. If the weather improves, Streaky Bay is a great side trip for a few days.

Keep warm and dry NeilnRuth. The weather here in Sydney is cold and wet (at least in my bit). Pint and Judith.

The eastern seaboard is supposed to be getting the bad weather tomorrow - Friday, great! Ah well, at least we will be 'on the road' again - can't be all bad! Safe travelling everyone.

I think winter has arrived in Adelaide early. Bugger! I'm going into my second winter since leaving the tropics in 2010. I've filled the wardrobe with winter clothing and real shoes, but it's hard to keep warm.

Yes, today was only to be 14C here but a few degrees warmer tomorrow. Wind has blown away - and it certainly was a 'batten down the hatches day' yesterday.
