When I subscribe to a topic I receive email notifications of any new posts to the topic however whenever I click the link in my email notice I have to log in EVERY time even though I have the login thingo set to "Remember me" - why is that? Is there any way to get to these posts via the notification email that does NOT force me to log in? Note that this even happens when I have another tab opened where I AM logged in.

There seems to be a problem there. I have subscribed in the past and thought it worked, will try it with this one and see what happens. I am permanently signed into Grey Nomads and don't want to be signing in each time either.

very odd - it seems to be working now. That IS weird - maybe the gods heard my plea and responded to my anguish.

This is starting to really bug me. It seems like there's some kind of timeout going on. I have Firefox with 1 tab logged in constantly, then I get the email saying there's a new post in one of my subscribed topics so I click the link to take me there from within the email and it takes me to the page BUT more often than not I need to log in again. BUT - if I force a refresh on my logged in tab BEFORE clicking the link in my email it seems to work. I'm not sure if it's a timeout or if it's firefox doing something weird, of if clicking from inside my yahoo mail is a problem. I make sure that when clicking the email link, the browser opens in a NEW tab so as not to lose my place in my logged in tab. I even went to the extreme to have firefox automatically refresh my logged in tab every 5 mins or so but that does not cure it. I don't recall having this problem with other forums so I'm stumped on this one. Hope I can solve it soon - i don't wanna get any greyer (or balder) than i already am just yet.

Go up to tools on your tab line click on it and then click delete browsing history, ensure you have not got the password box ticked. If you have then unclick it and back out. problem should be solved.

Hi there and welcome, it puzzles me why you are not directing you questions to the webmaster as they all seem to be about how the forum works?

Well firstly, I assume the webmaster/s are aware of all posts and the title explains the problem well enough that if they're interested would look at the post and address it.
Secondly, I'm assuming that maybe .. just maybe ... I'm not the only one with this problem now or in the past and that one of the other members might have stumbled upon a solution.
Still puzzled?

I think that's a Internet Explorer option, but Firefix has something similar but sadly I tried it in both IE and FF and the problem persists. My theory of having to refresh the logged in tab before clicking the email link is bogus - it works sometimes but not always so I'm still confused.
