Hi, Tania63, On our visits to Rocky, we usually stay at the Riverside Tourist Park in Reaney Street. It's a Top Tourist Park. We have also stayed at the Discovery Holiday Park in Yaamba Rd. Its dearer and has 2 pools if needed. The Riverside has clean Amenities and a code is needed for them. It's on the river but big scaley things lurk in there. It has a pool without any scaly intruders. They close the gate at night and a code is needed for that as well.

We are in the riverside park at the moment, it is now a "family Parks" member
amenities are clean and there are enough of them, the code is still required
river is very muddy at the moment
current rate is $33/n/2A less the Fp discount
Our site was easy enough to get onto and has green grass
water is HOT in the shower

We stayed at the Caves caravan pk just out of Rocky to the north, $35 per night powered. Even though its a quiet bushland setting, we didnt like it much. Sites difficult to find a level spot, no internet or phone access, and too long a drive out of town and beach.

Stayed here about a month ago and had trouble getting onto site stayed the night then moved up the road to Big 4 which had a cheaper rate per night and will be doing an overnighter there again within the next couple of weeks.

To the traveller who was requesting a Great park to stay in while in Rockhampton. The Parkhurst/Motel Van Park is cheap, quite and friendly.
It is the last van park north of Rockhampton behind the Service station/shop. It is a great place to base yourself and look around the area.
Carmen.
