Gday...
We need to be aware, and not just be accepting, of price rises that a supplier attributes to "the carbon tax".
ACCC has been authorised to investigate frivolous/fraudulent claims for price increases attributed to "the carbon tax"
If you feel either the increase is 'exhorbitant' or 'suspect' then go to this website and lodge a complaint -
If we don't report these instances, we, as a community, will ultimately be wearing it.
Cheers - John

Get used to it because we will be wearing it anyway, no matter what authority says.

The price of all fuel has dropped by more than 5 cents per litre since the 1st July.
Can I blame that on the carbon tax too?

Fuel has dropped by nearly 10 cents a litre up here. I was rapt. Heard that on the news this morning Jimbo. As they say on the news, Anyone who uses the excuse of Carbon Tax for the price increase can be reported. By the same token of course prices will rise because of the carbon tax, as everything is going up, power etc means the flow down effect will mean increases. They are not allowed to blame it on the carbon tax. Now does that make sense. Not to me.

Jimbo you'd have to have come down in quite a recent shower to believe everything the Hun prints. The cemetery has stated that this is report is completely untrue.
HW, what they aren't allowed to do is blame price rises on the carbon tax unless it is the reason for the price rise. Prices that were rising anyway (and don't they always), the business can't hide behind the carbon tax excuse (like Brumby's tried to do).

Well seeing as carbon is the major component of the human body after water, sounds fair enough to me. At least they don't charge extra for matches because the body is hard to light due to it being mostly water.... Actually, my old man got a nasty look from the funeral director when he asked if he got a discount because his mum only had one leg and was there fore less than standard body mass. T.I.C.

Hi Jimbo, I saw on the news tonight that it was a mistake and they returned the money. I think we will see more and more of this thing as this monster gets more and more legs.
