Yep it's just like being at school again (we are in a big play ground I spose) when around other Grey Nomads or maybe not so grey as well. Sort of anyway but only much much better.
I was talking to my neighbour while in Mildura at the CV Park and he noticed a grill on my Avan at the back of my fridge. He asked me did I know you had to remove the grill and showed me how to. I said no and he asked If I noticed a burning plastic smell and I said yes. You have to take the grill off. I wasn't told that by the dealer and it's not in the manual.
I do use 240V when in CV Parks but did try on gas a while back.
So that was my lesson for the day.

Totally agree Doug. Everytime I chat to another grey nomad I learn something. It might be how to operate one of my contraptions I carry in the van. It might be about a particular town or travelling direction. I could be about anything but its all worth listening to and taking on board. So many little bits of info are in the back of my brain. Sitting there ready to be pulled forward when needed.

Doug I was told the same thing last year while up in Cairns but it was only if the temperature was really high and that part of the van was in full sun, I don't think it should be removed all the time

Hi Gill,
It's that easy to remove to allow the heat out the little vent I think I might just remove each time I use the gas. I don't expect a lot of gas use at this stage anyway.

Thats probably a good idea, best not to take chances with the gas. I've never used the gas as I've only ever camped in a caravan park with power so I have that to experience yet, I'll hopefully get to use it at Greens Lake over next summer
