.. the opportunity to "stopover" in a town vicinity is a good thing. There are a few around now on the east coast and seem to be doing ok. The statement that a unit could be inspected by a ranger to see it complies could also be a good thing .. that might then allow a greater assortment of vehicles to benefit, rather than just Caravans and Motorhomes which seems to be the usual concept. One day it might be realised that one's mode of travel is not necessarily an indicator of personal attitude, morals or credibility ..

Agree John, say if a campervan had a lidded or screw topped container underneath to catch sink water and to carry it away, and a porta potti, then I would imagine it would meet their requirements, so perhaps the ranger would be happy with that, worth a try!
There was one bloke seen just using a bucket for grey water and tipping it onto a tree at this site, apparently they were not too concerned about it.
