Left Mareeba Rodeo Grounds this morning, heading for Darwin . Air Lockers all fixed. Took two return trips to garage to fix a bad leak in air line to air bags, should not have happened. All it takes is a little soapy water to test.::
Really enjoyed the two weeks at Rifle Creek and Rodeo Grounds meeting up with all the other GNs and getting to know them all better. We did have some good "feasts" didn't we, those of you who weren't there.....eat your heart out. It's amazing what can happen when everybody mucks in and pools resources.
Presently at Ravenshoe and have bumped into Jules and Bileee.
Next cook-up Normonton. See you there.

Make sure you enjoy a couple of nights at Leichhardts Lagoon, on the left of the Savannah highway about 25 kms before Normanton. You'll pass it very quickly so keep an eye out for the sign, just past the bridge Do include a Saturday night there - book in early for the Saturday 3course meal at the homestead for a price which I can't disclose here, 'cos otherwise too many people will rush there. But as a fellow Kiwi, believe me you will be amazed, and grateful. All money raised goes to the Flying Doctors. I think it's still $A14 pn, no power or fresh water but has showers (watch out for the frogs) and happy hour every night.

May have to come back to Atherton tomorrow. The 3way valve on the gas cylinders is leaking, will have a look in at Mitre 10 here in the morning first. Certainly no warmer at night here than Mareba . Is Rod back home?

Innot Springs is correct Della. If you go there Kiwi-as, beware of walking on the burning hot sand in the creek bed.
