Well, we bought this motorized home almost a year ago, but this is the first extended road trip we've taken him on; Florida to Montana... We planned on getting a "starter" model, but the price was right and roughing it to us usually meant a Holiday Inn Express !
This big rig has everything and we are loving it. Having the usual new-bee problems and a few technical difficulties, but we're enjoying every minute of it! We've made it to Nebraska thus far so Montana is in sight! If our two four legged children stay behaved we will surely do it again....maybe even full time it! Enjoy, Stay Safe & Healthy
Very nice Vectra, do you have some inside shots please?
Always nice to say hello to our cousins across the waves and see how their rigs are too!

Thanks Vic! I don't have many inside shots just yet, but will take some soon. This big rig is really something. It has everything...a dish washer, washer dryer, dual heat pump basement air systems, a propane furnace for when the heat pumps can't keep up, a combination propane & electric water heater, an 8 KW Onan Generator for when we're Boondocking, Satilite TV, antena TV for when the satilite won't get a singal, dual slide outs, ceramic tile flooring in the kitchen, power awnings to keep the sun at bay, three big televisons.... OK I digress LOL!
It really is a great traveling companion. We are new to the traveling life style. We went to Arizona about a year ago and rented a Class C and traveled the stae for about a month. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we ecided to buy a rig. We did all the reseach and thought we would start with a smaller rig, but the price was right for this one and with our economy being so shallow we figured we could always sell it for our investment price so we took the plunge and are glad we did.
We both long to come to your side of the pond, but I'm not sure what it would cost to ship this monster....hahahaha
Thanks for the reply and we hope you travel safely and have a great day!

Looks like you've got it made as far as comfort goes.
We've got an Aussie expat American here travelling Oz with a big rig, even has a chopper aboard with a hydraulic launch pad that recesses the chopper into the motor home for travel.......Also has a 4WD on board. see;

Hi Chris and Marily,
I am envious, when I was looking to buy an RV here there was only one Vectra for sale in OZ and it was a full conversion to Aussie specs and I missed it by a day.
I watched a Documentary about the Vectra factory building them and was very impressed by the quality and the inclusions.
I think you guys have made a great choice and sounds like you are having a ball.
Regards from Down Under!

Thanks Beth! I am interested in the solar panels I see in your photo. How are they working for you and what do they power?

I don't have a great deal of experience with the solar panels yet, as I've only been on one camp with them so far.
But it was very successful in keeping the 105AH battery charged. I run a light, and charge the laptop and mobile(cell) phone at this stage.
Oh, and the solar panel is 80 watt.

Hi Chris and Marley, Your rig will cost between 8 and 12 grand to ship it to OZ, But if its a wide bodied one, more than 96 inches, they wont let you drive it here, I just bought a 36 foot Foretravel Grand Villa, 1989 model and am shipping it over,
If your a temporary visitor and taking it back home again they might let you drive it here, I dont know the ins and outs of that one tho,
Mine is only missing solar, but that is cheap to add on,
I just have to copy my Gemini Cats system, It is totally self sufficient for power,
