This link may shed some light (pun intended) on the eclipse of which Total Eclipse can only be viewed on a reletively narrow path.

We have recently returned from Cooktown (northern Queensland) and saw an unusual sign about the 'Solar Eclipse' due to take place on 14 November 2012. The highway sign is located mid-way between Lakeland and Mt Molloy.
We would not known about it except for this highway sign. At the bottom, it does say that the sign is located in the Cook Shire Council. The roads were all paved in very good condition except for several narrow bridges.
We trust that the picture that we have attached can be viewed.
Its the end of the world!The Mayan calender ends on that day and profesies in end of all things. Its 4 days after my birthday, so I think I might have a BIG party. Bill

Wow, my birthday is today...have a drink with me...
It seems that the the eclipse will only been seen in a small area between Innisfail and Cooktown but that there will be a Webcam that will show the eclipse.
Why not have a look at it? and Happy Birthday to those who want to celebrate!!

It is my youngest 24th birthday on the 14th November and it cannot be the end of days because bugger it I have a special birthday this year as in 12.12.12 and I am going to be here to celebrate it for sure

Well Happy birthday Neil or Lynne and I had a drink to you last night,I have a bottle of liquer 43%Alc (Benedikteur Kloster Gold) with real gold specks in it and decided to open it,only had the one with a coffee,,bit too potent too drink the lot,have a great day
