Just come back from the Ballingup 2 day Medieval Festival. For those of you in WA at this time next year make a note. It's a fantastic event in one of the most spectacular areas of WA. The township and residents who stage this event should be congratulated.

Sounds great Graham, I went to a Wicker Man even there years ago, burnt the Wicker Man on a bonfire and young girls dressed in white dancing around the bonfire, also a folk band in attendance, it was a night event and great fun.
If you are available and near the area, check out the get together this Friday at Whiteman Park, in the sub north/east of Perth, good chance to catch up with a few GN's.....

WOW Grahame I will be sure to put that one in my diary for next year I love medieval events. Mind you I would have loved the Wicker Man event as well
Would have loved to be there, but unfortunately have commitments. Is it just Friday or does it go over the full weekend?

No it is just for this coming Friday, check the Getogether Section further down the Index and click on Whiteman Park. They do not have a caravan park but vans could be parked there for the durations of the picnic/bbq & other activities as long as they are out by closing time, all details are shown on the link in the Getogether thread....
PS: I don't see any mention of the Wicker man festival on a search for Balingup so maybe it was replaced by the Medieval Festivals instead... It was a number of years ago I went to it......
Thanks Vic I will copy and paste that and stick it my travel diary for next year. Thanks for going to the trouble for me, I appreciate it.

No worries Michelle, the Donnybrook Transit Park is a beauty, each drive through site has an ensuite (in a separte building), powered $26, Unpowered $17, but both get an ensuite. Also a laundry and small campers kitchen.
If it is during the southern tourist season best to book, managed by the BP garage in the main street. Scroll down on this link;
