I have an RV for sale and have had 4 scam emails, this one is pretty typical and am posting it here for those who may not have experienced them before;
"Hi thanks for mailing back,am ok with the price and the condition,am buying it for my vacation,because i'll be coming soon from our rig as am a petroleum project engineer on a rig offshore,i won't be able to come for the inspection due to the nature of my work,i would have love to call in person but we have call restriction due to bad weather condition our satellite server has been down. i will be paying you through PayPal,please get back to me with your PayPal details so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in my place. Await your reply."
I have reported it to the site I was using to advertise the RV, this particular one was on Quokka, but have also had a couple from Gumtree as well......

Good one Duh, Everybody SHOULD be well aware of this type of scam by now ?? BUT THERE NOT ?? so every time a post like this shows up, with a little bit of luck a couple more people will become aware, so that can only be a good thing
PS I am not into this Scam type thing, However ?? could you arrange for your RV to be delivered to me asap, and Wombat, Dougwe, and Bohemian gypsy, have promised that they will all chip in and send you the Money, after i have recieved it, I think that is very nice of them, Do not worry about the payment, as I trust them with YOUR money

My sister got that one when she put thier van on gumtree about 6mths ago, told her to delete it and report it to gumtree.

Yes, they will try it on, like those phone scam people trying to tell you they are from Microsoft and something is wrong with your pc to try to give them access.....mongrels !

With those phone callers, if it's female I pretend to be a sex maniac and very interested in them, if it's male I pretend to be gay and am very interested in them too, they hang up very abruptly (except for the one female who called me a "dirty pig" then hung up lol, I couldn't stop laughing ! )

I had a text the other day saying that my Optus no had won $1,000,000 and would I please send my email address, etc. Needless to say I quickly deleted it.

Theres another text scam saying somebody has been paid to kill you, if you pay them more they wont. you would like to do bad things to those scum!

We had the same thing happen today. Hub by is trying to sell his tinnie and boat loader. Its on Gumtree if anyone is interested.

i always write on my gumtree add dont bother if you are a scammer because im aware of every scam out there and they never send me them emails anymore or texts :)
