This Sunday the 9th September The PS Melbourne Centenary River Festival is a day not to be missed. It is a celebration of Mildura's iconic Paddle Steamer Melbourne's 100th Birthday. This milestone event will be held at the Mildura Wharf where the Melbourne will be joined by over 20 vessels, including heritage steamers from South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria, not seen together for over 50 years. The Sunraysia Farmers' Market will offer breakfast. Bar facilities and riverside BBQ available from the Mildura Rowing Club. Wine tasting, foodstalls, crafts and displays including steam machinery will be on offer, as well as the melodic sounds of the Mildura Brass Band. The boats will arrive at 11.00am, with birthday celebrations beginning at 12 noon. So come along and enjoy a great day out at the picturesque Mildura Riverfront. Don't miss this unique event showcasing the river, steam and the romance of paddlewheels on the Murray.

I was aware of this great event CK56, I had it marked on my poota calendar but work forbids me from attending plus it would take me 8 hours to get there, I am in Sth West Gippsland Vic.
I don't think I have seen you before so welcome from me, enjoy here and out in the playground.

We saw "Oscar W" from Goolwa at Mannum a last week on it's way to Mildure for the celebration. Unfortunately have to be in Melbourne, so will miss the spectacular
