I don't know if everybody is aware that there is a huge groundswell regarding low, and no cost camping/parking areas throughout the country. I have been out of pc range for a couple of weeks, and have just received the information through the CMCA solos. I can't say for sure if the "movement" is purely by the CMCA organisation, but I am sure that they would appreciate all the help they can muster. Details are on the CMCA solos website.

There is far too much information to include here. I suggest that people contact the cmca group. I get the feeling that the outcome will, hopefully, be of great benifit to all GN's

Can't access any info. from the website unless you're a CMCA member Pipes. If you can, please let us know how, as I for one, am not interested in joining them again.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Pipes I had a look at the solos website itself and the CMCA solos page and couldn't see anything. The January news letter was the only availble on the site. I'm very interested to hear more.
Brickies, our membership fees help pay for lobbying for free sites to benefit all Nomads as well as dump points.

Still have no idea if someone is for or against free camping or is someone trying to do something to do with free camping. Any ideas?

I refuse to belong to the CMCA or any organisation that treats me as a second class citizen. It wants my joining fee and annual membership but as a caravan/camper-trailer owner it won't give me voting rights.

Sounds to me like the Collingwood Backline all over the place to secret to tell it as it is,
Though wouldn't it be great to have a Voice to tell those Stupid Brain Dead Councils what we are about spreading the Dollar.
Take Gin Gin For example 20 hrs only in that wonderful spot 1 km out of town and the Money spent there by the Traveller is not getting through because of this ridiculous 20 Hrs Only stay....I wont mention the Library wanting $ 50.00 to join them Ha ha ha! Talk about desperate for a
quid
Ps Hello Mac John if your reading this I am in St Lawrence Qld having a Red

I don't blame you for feeling that way. Up until the past few months I considered my membership fees very good value, vote or no vote. Not so sure lately.
