This website is so good and here I go again with questions.
We are renting out our house for 2 years while we hit the road on 7 November.
Our belongings are being stored in our shed which is separate from our house.
Problem.
Can get Building insurance, land lord insurance but no one will do contents insurance in our shed. Its like fort knox and we know the people renting.
I have phoned RACQ where we have everything with them and unless it is in a nationwide storage shed no go. Same with a lot of companies.
So I am calling on the Grey Nomads brains truss

Could it be covered by the insurance the renters are taking out on their contents. If it was you in the house, your contents in the shed should be covered so why not if its your friends in the house? Just a thought.

This brains trust recommends keep searching. Can't you just insure the whole property, including the shed, goods and chattels? Heck, if I can insure an on-site van in Broome with a photo of my cyclone tie-downs, surely a photo of your shed security would do it for you. Try National Seniors who are underwritten by Allianz may entertain your proposal. Good luck.
