Welcome mongrel, I suggest you make a list of what your requirements will be, and that decision will guide you towards the rig you need. Either way, enjoy :)

Welcome Mongrel. That list of needs and wants is a good place to start... trouble is the list changes again and again, long after you buy what you thought you wanted! Its great with hind-sight to know which will be the right rig for you. Also the list of places you want to go to gets longer as you travel, not shorter!

Welcome from me too mongrel. I find the MH easier as I would have no hope of reversing a caravan properly. So far I have managed to reverse the MH into a few sites without knocking over any trees, rubbish bins or fellow travellers. Give it time, it will probably happen (not fellow travellers I hope). The only disadvantage I have found is if you don't have a toad, it is a pain in the butt to have to pack up to go buy a litre of milk. Whichever way you go, enjoy your travels, there is so much to see in this great country. If you have any questions, just ask on the forum, someone will come up with the answer for you. They are a really friendly and helpful lot here.
Cheers!
Chris

Welcome from me too Mongrel - I'm sure you will make the decision that suits your proposed lifestyle. At the end of the day I like to have a car that I can do some sight seeing in or the shopping or anything else - leaving my van behind. That still leaves the option of a motorhome and towing a car or having a bike/motor bike - or even a slide on.
