We drove a long way today..200kms... We are now camped at 4 Mile Reserve, out of Brewarrina, on the banks of the Barwon again, not far from where it joins the Darling River.
This is a good spot too. Several caravans and campers here. Cold showers available and toilets.
Apparently a good spot to catch Yellow belly, Murray cod and yabbies.
Good camps are few and far between out here. Not that we need a designated spot, but there's not many places where you can actually get away from the road without going into someone's property.

Are you intending to go south via Bourke, Beth? What's the master plan after that as you're getting very close to being in what I've called my playground for the last 40 + years.

John, we did see the fish traps, but not the Ochre Pit.
Darrell, yes, see my post Lake Gargelligo for more about yesterdays drive.
We plan to head to Echuca, going through Hay and Deniliquin. After Echuca, Greens Lake for a few days, then to Bendigo and beyond. Where's your playground Darrell?

Pretty well all of western & central western NSW, Beth. Have hunted feral pigs across pretty well everywhere north of say Dubbo to the border, slightly west of Bourke, Cobar across to a line south of Glen Innes. Also spent a few years living in Deniliquin so all around that area as well.

We saw some feral pigs lined up at the side of the road..looked like they'd been shot. My brother and mates have done a lot of pig and goat shooting in years gone by, in western Qld. We have lots of rellies out that way, so that's been our playground since we were kids.
