Send a PM to Cruising Granny - this is her field, she only uses her radio I think, but she will be able to clue you in.

If you rent one BB, it will be a tax deduction! Best wishes in your new business.

If you buy or rent, both have business tax benifets. I have both, sat phone with $200 prepaid credit for less than $1000, Hf radio around $3500 to $5000 to set up. Both have different benifets. Sat ph you can call for assistance but it my be 1000 of km away, hf you call a base station but there maybe help over the next sand dune (you wont hear them but they will hear the base station taking to you). So I use uhf, hf radio, sat ph, ebirb roughly in that order and always carry them all. remote travel is wonderful but you do need to carry all forms of communication that you can. do it safe and stay alive cheers blaze
