Went up by 10 cents a litre this week in Childers. Unleaded.

Just filled up the little Getz today in Brissie. Woolworths was around $152 for unleaded. I had a 15c/L voucher so that helped.
When the big discounts are on I have the check out chick split the bill so that I get multiple big discount credits. They must get lots of similar requests because they never bat an eyelid at my requests, unlike SWMBO who thinks that I am a skinflint.

The bloody big two supermarkets have got us where they want us now and are controlling the market, they fool us with the shopper dockets then put the fuel prices up to cover it...talk about being hoodwinked!!!
Remember when the price of crude oil hit $169 a barrell and the prices at the pump were about what they are now, well crude is now $90 a barrell and our dollar has risen through the roof which should make it much much cheaper, fuel should be less than a dollar per litre in real terms, we are being ripped off bigtime and the wool has been pulled over our watchdog and the governments eyes.
This duopoly should never have been allowed to spread their evil wings, they are a disgrace .

I agree ...
What % of our disposable income goes to the big 2 ... Groceries, Alcohol, Hardware, Kmart & BigW stuff ?
The only good thing I suppose is that we can buy shares & be part of the rip off.
I note that the last Woolworths in the UK closed recently ... or so some pommy friends told me.
