Can anyone tell me if wireless reversing cameras work? My Sidewinder with all its leads and joiners died. Would like some info.

No experience with wireless Agro but from research I'd done on other forums the wireless cameras are very susceptible to interference & failure. The recommendation on every technical forum I found was that hard wired was the only reliable option. As a result I purchased a dual camera setup with 7" monitor that so far is brilliant.

I tried one in my trailer and found it useless so dumped it and changed to a tethered one. This was 5 years ago when I hit the road but they may have changed in that time.
I had an arial pocking through the front of the trailer pointing at the rear window of the bus but still would not reliably work when mobile. May be OK when stationary but that is not what I wanted it for.

Like wise, we researched the wireless units and majority outcome was that the 24 MHZ bandwith had major interferencs as most mobile type products use this frequency. So we also went for the hard wired unit in the present van and have ordered the new van pre wired for the camera.

Ours is wired too... and we were advised the less joins the better. So the only join in the system is where the caravan wire plugs to the car. We've had to clean dust out of that plug a few times as there was no picture, and they supply a cap to keep it clean when not in use. Works fine, cost too much, but worth it.

I have got one but I use it only to hang the van on. It is ok for that.
