We are new to the forum, so just trying to get started. Cath and Phil are who we are, in our late 50's and are looking to travel hopefully in the next 2 years, we are both self-employed and have some commitments before we take the plunge. Not old enough for the pension so will have to work and travel, so trying to find out more about whats available if anyone can help? We have a 4wd and a camper trailer at the moment but would like to move up to a caravan to travel further with.
We are looking to sell the house and buy something smaller to give us a start on the road!
Look forward to catching up with some like minded people via the forum and maybe on the road when we can.

Welcome to the forum Cath & Phil. Everyone is very friendly and there is a lot of experience here. If you have a question, someone is bound to have the answer for you. In the short time I have been travelling, I have found there is work out there if you want it. A lot of the small towns seem to have trouble getting workers. There are also a few employment sites specializing in short term or part time work for mature and/or travelling people. There are also volunteering and caretaking positions, which are unpaid, but usually provide you with a powered site and facilities. There is plenty out there, when you are ready just check out the net, you are sure to find something.
Cheers!

Welcome from me too Cath and Philbo, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I have a 1998 Toyota Prado and a "Sportliner" Avan Camper and just love it, I'm on the road as I write this. Well I'm in my camper really.
