It is with much sadness that I have to report that our great travelling companion, our beautiful border collie "Brodie (the Roadie)" passed away yesterday.
Brodie was diagnosed with cancer of the liver on Saturday and passed away at the surgery in Clare, South Australia peacefully on Monday morning. Brodie will be much missed by the Dunmowin family. May he have many swims and lots of frisbee games in his doggy heaven.
I am so sorry for you sad loss. He looks like a wonderful dog. Our thoughts are with you - enjoy your memories. All our love Chris and Peter

Dunmowin,
We know you will be hurting and missing your great mate. A little bit of Brodie will be with you for many years to come. It's 12 months since we lost our little 'Benny' and I still go somewhere and do something and think, "Benny would have loved this." Then I feel myself smiling. He is still giving us pleasure and I'm sure Brodie will too.

What a wonderful post Dunmowin', I am sure you have done Brodie proud (a picture paints a thousand words etc)....
and, as a fellow forummember whom knows what it is like to be owned by a loyal border collie, may I suggest it is worth remembering the good fortune of your relationship with him...when you can...
take care

Pete, Brodie was 12 1/2 so he had a good innings. We had just hoped to keep him with us for a bit longer.
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful condolences. The photo was taken on the Fleurieu Peninsula - he was looking for whales!
