We have decided to spend the night at Gunning (Balflour Park) free camp for 2 days, we will be heading further south tomorrow, but not spend as long on the road as we did today,after all we don't have to rush anywhere.

We find about 300kms maximum is a good day's trip. Enjoy yourselves- and no, you don't have to hurry.

We now have worked our travels out & make sure that we are at our next stopover by no later than 2pm

That's a good plan. Gives you time to look around when you first arrive if it's in a town or relax if it's not.

Found a lovely spot called Sandy Beach at Hay. Pulled in around 1pm, set up had lunch.Only. Few people here when we got here but there are a few more here now, facilities nice & clean. Apparently council come & clean up everyday. Not sure about weekends though.
Planning on heading to Balranald tomorrow.
