I assume you did it clockwise .... tut tut .... you missed the "joy" of going through 'the dipper' coming down to Esses and then down to Conrod Straight. Takes ya breath away - especially given the speed we 'ordinary folk' travel at - when ya realise just how fast the V8s go through there.
I am at Gooloogong - absolutely lovely place to stay for a few days - no charge just donation. A report and pics will follow
cheers - John

yup - wrong way but upon reflection , with the van on that was probably wise. Did enjoy 'roaring' up through the bends in 2nd though

We were there a few months ago. what a great place. couldn't resist putting the rig on pole.
We have enjoyed driving it a few times but never with the van in tow next time in Bathurst will certainly do a lap the right way round with the van

I went past the turn to Mt Panorama today but wasn't tempted. Don't want my bird to fall off it's perch.

Took the road from Gordonvale to Lake Tinaroo by mistake a few months ago - 300 hairpins and second gear nearly all the way so this was nothing. Actually seemed like quite a short circuit. Must watch the race one day!
I did it - with van in tow - that was fun
Down to 2nd but roaring up the hill. Think I went the wrong way round (as Kiwi would) but too easy!!!!
Gday...

60km speed limit makes it pretty easy
