briche and kiwi-as /kiwi rainbow have been spending time together at Rye on the Mornington Peninsula for about two weeks or so and we were joined today by Doug-we. We had not seen him since his return from Greens Lake and it was great to catch up and find out what he has been up to. Thanks mate for making the effort to come up from home and be part of our little camp site. We were once again treated to the cooking talents of Kiwi-as with a casserole cooked to perfection in his beloved camp oven. Thanks Brandt. Kiwi-as and Kiwi rainbow will be moving on soon so we will be here all on our lonesome.
Thanks guys for a wonderful time together and stay safe as you travel.

Thanks to Briche for great hospitality extended to us over the past couple of weeks and yes, it was great to catch up with Dougwe again. We will miss the companionship of Briche and their two dogs, Angel and Molly.

I will also add my very big thankyou to Brian, Cheryl (Briche), Brandt (kiwi-as) and Lorraine (kiwi rainbow) for another great catch up. That "Casserole" was as Brain said a treat from a great 'Chef' and great person.
I must say though, we had a discussion as to if the "Casserole" was in fact a Casserole and not a "Stew", it was said that a Casserole is cooked in an oven and stew cooked in a pot, as it was cooked in a camp oven over a fire I have trouble and can't decide if it really counts as an actual oven as such, I reckon that could be a debatable point.
There was one problem though, thanks to a upcoming Cardiologist appointment I have in late February the famous kiwi rainbow 'Pav' didn't make an appearance, Lorraine didn't want to contribute the rather large kick up the bum I will get at that appointment so we had a lovely plum pud with brandy custard and ice cream instead, now I am having trouble with that as I can't see how that helped BUT it was really nice indeed and "I tell you that for free" :)
Thankyou for another very nice afternoon spent in great company. I hope Brandt and Brian enjoy the Melbourne traffic today and the Monash car park doesn't cause to many problems. I also hope the boat doesn't hit any icebergs tomorrow KA and KR.
Enjoy your travels knowing I am keeping an eye on you.
I hope it's not tooolong before we all meet again (ooops, sorry) (more AC) and,
edit....and I even read it backwards

Maybe I should promise you a Pav when we meet up in early March AFTER you have been to your cardiologist? Is that OK Doug?

Its a casserole, as it was cooked in a camp oven, not a camp pot. now you are really confused.
I know all about that camp oven, ask Kiwi-as. LOL.
Call it what you like , either way its all good.

Well JC,
1. It doesn't take much for me to be confused. 2. I agree, you get great results from a camp oven, I have now had 3 of Brandt's "Casseroles/Stews" (see, I'm confused) and all great.
