Thanks Wombat, what I'm trying to find out is why the insert link tab is greyed out, it's there to make life a little easier but cant be used (by me)
OK got that and its also grey out for me, I would suggest a gremlin, maybe contact Cindy in case she does not know about this one
Thanks mate, will do.

This has worked for me in quick reply, paste your link into your reply, post reply, then immediately edit your reply, highlight your link, the insert link then becomes enabled click on insert link, now paste link into box that drops down click on insert and your link becomes live now resubmit your post.
Though in standard reply my link becomes live the moment I paste the link into reply. eg https://www.google.com.au/
Yep that works, I'm sure it's not what was intended though.

[ / u r l ]
without any spaces

I understand that Wombat, I'm simply trying to get the insert link tab working as it should.
When you post a reply look at the tool bar, in the middle of the centre row is a chain link, that's the tab I'm refering to.

For some reason I'm unable to post a live link, the insert/edit link icon is greyed out, any thoughts?
do you mean when you start a topic? or answering a topic that is already open?
what do you mean by live/link?
Wombat.
I suspect he's talking about not being able to add a Hyperlink in his post that opens another website.
OJ
Exactly.
