Thats the go, the gates are open at 8.00am on the 25/3/13 , that gives you ten days camping. Premer is a great spot to hang out until the gates are open, last year the Lions club provided a hot dinner on the saturday night & sunday night was a roast dinner at a very modest cost, along with live enterrainment.
Hundreds gather there during the weekend & move to hartwood early monday, its a great ten days.

I don't like the look of that 'S' on the end of hundred, Jim. I'm not really into big crowds like that anymore.

G/day retiree, Last year was the first time that we went to Hartwood.
We arrived at Premer about midweek, already 4/5 campers there, Powered sites are limited but there is plenty of unpowered area available as thet use the sporting fields. Reasonable prices for both power/non power, Flush toilets & hot showers & water taps, by sunday night there were hundreds there .
Hartwood gates open 8.00am on the monday & they are lined up long before this, some camping at roadside areas which does cause a traffic hazard if to many arrive too early as traffic banks up on the main road.
Entry fee per person this year is $110, entitles you to ten days camping & ALL entertainment. There are no allocated sites, first in best dressed so to speak but there is acres of room. NO camping close to the homestead.
Water pipelines run throughout the caming area with many taps available, some fixed flushing toilets follow these pipelines with portable placed in between.
Entertainment, Paul McCloud (owner) runs a stage at the homestead, a 15min walk from campground or drive if you wish. entertainment ran from midday easter friday to 5.00pm, sat 8.00am to 5.00pm & sun 7.30 to 5.00pm non stop.
Tom Maxwell, country singer runs the night shows within the camp area at a small stage, this runs for about five nights from &.00pm to 11.00pm. with walk up artists & himself on stage.
Easter monday is a free day, all campers to be out by the tuesday. There was some takaway food available but basic. Campfires & wood collection are allowed.
The entertainers are all on small covered stages, but spectators are ALL outdoor. Chairs, hats, sunscreen etc. Just hope it doesn't rain.
The web site gives you the list of entertainers for the day time main stage.
Hope to see you there.
