I was just wondering if anyone has stayed at the Rosebud foreshore camping area, I passed there the other day and it goes for quite a long stretch of the foreshore but seemed to be overly crowded. (I guess thats due to the number of families there during school holidays). I checked out their website when I got home and the powered sites after the school holiday period are very reasonable for pensioners $105 per week. I would appreciate any info from anyone who has stayed there re ammenities etc
Many thanks

We stayed at the "Capel sound" park on the foreshore early April last year, the amenities near the office were very old but clean and there was a new amenities block at the northern end of the park the dump point is a short way to the south of the office. It was lovely to just walk out through to the beach.
I believe the older amenities near the office have been renovated late last year.

Hi Gill, you will find quite a few sites will be available after Monday. There will still be a lot of CV's and maybe tents as a lot of people leave them there until after Easter. The area closes down for the winter months, shame because you get some nice days maybe even a week or two during that time. Nice area all through the Mornington Peninsula.

Hi gillyb
Not a lot there then, just a few along the fore shore but quite a few of them were only occupied at the weekends. We were arrived there on the 11th April and stayed for 2 weeks. There is a very good fish and chip shop just across the road from the park.
