Hmm looks interesting.. the need for having to empty the front liquid tank every few days however in my eyes really makes it no better than a standard cassette unit. Turning that mixer would be a pain (plus having the clearance for the handle). I will stick to cassettes (plus a spare) at this stage.
cheers

Thanks for the feedback Mike, I was more concerned about the availability of the composting bricks than of turning the handle, since without them the unit is worthless, but nevertheless, it is something I didnt think of and certainly bears questioning. Also the weight of the composted matter. I accept that I will have to empty something at some stage........I am more interesed in ease, weight, and an alternative to the sloppy smelly cannister every few days.
Thanks again for the input.

yep that could be an issue. I wouldnt want to be carrying a heap (just in case) as it all consumes space etc.
I found this 'roadtest' of the composting toilet in question - has some drawbacks!! - here is a honest down to earth report on it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ih17XFOkSc&feature=endscreen&NR=1
What I didnt get is a reply saying I know someone who knows someone who has one installed. I dont know if we are shying away from this because it is different or if there are real 'user' problems. On paper it definately has practical advantages, however I am interested in the other side of the coin, as it is an expensive item. I am surprised that its not out there!
Hi,
I am considering installing a marine composting toilet and would appreciate any feedback.
