A cyclone when you are not having one. No power, but we had solar and siphon water out of the their large tanks and got off the Mt on Wednesday morning.

WOW! How lucky are you to get through that lot redlynn. That must have been terrifying during that. I noticed in photo 1 that the awning seems to be in one piece, did that stay out during the ruff weather? Good luck with the rest of your travels and I hope you don't come across any more bad weather, and,

Thanks Dougwe, yes we were very lucky. Just after the photo was taken we brought the awning in and moved the van up to where it was in the third photo on Sunday just after lunch. In hindsite we should have moved it to where it is in the fourth photo. All is well though not much damage and we will be out in the big playground early next month and we are looking forward to meeting up with you somewhere out there.

Very lucky indeed.
My mate "The Awning Man" is now flat out with replacements & repairs ... How does the saying go .. "It's an ill wind".
It's a great spot. I'll be up there this year for a short mid week trip.
cheers .. G
