After searching through Google images, the exact same photo is used to describe a Sharp panel on gumtree ????

I just bought on " eSold " a 170w Bosch portable solar panel with 20w mppt controller for $299,,they also have a Sharp 120w panel,,,just thought i would let you know as i have never seen branded portable panels for sale before

I have been looking at these but was not sure about the quality (is it really Bosch) as it seems to be an amazing price. Let me know how it goes! You might also be able to tell me or perhaps someone else, they say that max system voltage is 17.56V and the max voltage for my battery is about 14.4V. i'm not sure if it will cook my battery??? Any thoughts?

Dan, the regulator will bring the voltage down to the right level to charge your battery.

Thanks Troopy, I thought that would be the case but wasn't sure. Do you think it would be worth putting one of the digital regulators on the system so you can monitor the output etc?

Dan if you wish to use a different regulator you MUST disconnect the one on the back of the panels.
If you go to the trouble of replacing the regulator may I suggest you replace the cables to 6 B&S or similar. The closer to this size the less resistance and therefore less charging power lost.
You may wish to leave as is and just get a clamp meter off ebay and this you can use at any time to show actually what is going into your batteries and can be used as amulti meter etc. check this one on ebay Item number: 271142968978. Just type in the number into the search in ebay and you should find it.
There are others cheaper and dearer but I think this should satisfy your needs and it is the one I have so I know it works.

I agree, the cells do look different to the ones on the Bosch site and in a review of the new format cells. That's the individual cells Pete, not the panels.

yes yesterday I need to run down my 105amp battery so i can put the panel on it....I dont have an inverter but do have a power station with an inverter built in,,,can i attach the power station starter cables to the AGM 105amp batty and plug my refrigerator (3way) into the power station

I bought an inverter to flatten the battys and will record some tests ,,,I attached the panel to the batty and it fully (13.6v) charged it ,unfortunately my multimeter is a bit crappy so will buy a quality job and will get accurate results,,from what i have done so far i think the panels are ok.

If possible look at a clamp meter instead of just a multi meter.
This device will allow you easily to set the clamps around one wire eg red or black and it will show you the current flowing through as you watch so very good also for making sure you have the panels at the best angle.
It still has a multi meter option as an option.
Can be purchased any good hardware shop or via evil bay. I think mine was about $30+ dollars so not overly dear for what you get.

G,day Brian I checked the voltage before the reg.and it was 21.5 which is just below the rated output of 21.73,,i notice the cables are 4,,,if the output is that close do you think i need to change the cables to 6 i also bought a new multi/clamp meter from that epay shop,, i will check the amps today like most i like to get value for my money in this case i think i have made a good purchase,

I'm Keen to see the amp output of the system. By the looks of things the system definitely looks like value for money! Also, what voltage is coming out of the regulator? I spoke to the guy who runs Antenergy and he said the regulator automatically senses the type of battery and sets the voltage accordingly.
