I decided to put this in the General Forum so that more people would see it.
Just letting you know that yesterday afternoon, Beth was taken by ambulance and admitted to PA hospital in Brisbane. She thought the shortness of breath that she was experiencing was an asthma attack but it seems that it was her heart and she has Atrial Fibrilation.
She has had "bucketloads" of drug therapy and numerous tests. She also had an ECG this afternoon but does not have the results of that as yet.
I have been in contact with her several times today and she is now sounding far more settled and much better than she did earlier.
Looks like she will be "camped up" and being cared for in PA for the next couple of days. She said to say g'day and she hopes it won't be too long before she is back on here giving cheek again.
Cheers. Pam.

Get well soon Beth, Hospital is not the playground you know or did you have a "Brain Fart" and forget that minor detail. I will make contact when I'm in your area after April.
On second thoughts, I reckon you might have thought it was the playground with all the male nurses around :)

Do you have to dump your own port a loo Beth??
Now that you have been able to get in to Facebook on your phone you should be able to also get in to Grey Nomads. I can on my little phone. I can read it all but haven't worked out how to reply to anything.
Give it a go and you might be able to keep up with the news.
Will txt you again later and see how you are going. All the best.

UPDATE ON BETH:
I have just spoken to Beth. I told her about all of your good wishes for her speedy recovery and she asked me to say thanks to everyone from her.
She is still not allowed up to have a shower so they are giving her "bird baths" until her heart rate is more stable.
Looks like she will still be "camped up" for a while... On the plus side...at least she doesn't have to empty her own porta loo or grey water
I will keep you posted.
Cheers. Pam.

good to hear Beth is improving, now in regards to her beeping, you need to let the Dr's know asap as it maybe she needs her batteries changed, if the Dr's are not sure the batteries go in somewhere around the bum area, 2 double A's should last a couple of weeks.
Now chocolate is not good for somebody who is not well, I suggest you send all chocolates to
Wombat @ Wombat Hole,
C/o Wombat Gully Post Office

Ha! Ha!...will do
Beth was not responding to the medication so the Dr. changed it earlier this afternoon. Hopefully that will do the trick and she will soon be back home. We can't have her getting too spoilt with all of that waiting on and being fussed over with choccies etc;
Wombie...shame on you trying to nick Beth's chocolates... I'm gonna' tell her on you and then you'll be in BIG trouble!!
