Does any-one know if The dog lady [Marianna] from the Baffle Creek area is OK ? She hasn't posted since the devastation in that area, and hasn't answered a couple of PM's either. Hope she's all right.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Still haven't heard from Marianna. On my facebook page tonight Evacuation of an area near Baffle Creek is happening now with further areas could be evacuated at the next high tide including Baffle Creek.

my wife was in the hair dresser here in Gladstone, and one of the lady's working there comes from Baffle Creek ,she was saying all that is left of the town is the real estate, witch would be no value to any one at the moment....the lady was saying that the pub that got destroyed in the last floods was only open for a few months and has been desroyed again.(Australia day flood) so he cannot afford to repair it again, so is just going to walk away...He could not get insurance on it due to the creek passing past where it is situated. She also said most of the people had moved out.

Thanks Marj. and herbie. I guess she must be OK, or there would have been some news.
