Well after weeks of jumping between Ford and Mazda I finally decided on a Mazda BT50 Single Cab Chassis 4x2 Hi-Rider.
It will be a few weeks before delivery as I am getting an Alloy Tray and Canopy Combination fitted and some other goodies.
So it will be a long few weeks to wait.

Sounds great - the BT50 have a very good reputation. What will you be towing?

ZOOM ZOOM.....I had one of the first BT 50 as a work ute, absolutely brilliant. I am sure you will enjoy it, but keep an eye on the speedo, they are so quiet and powerful it is easy to creep over the speed limit.

Hi vk6tnc,
Yes I found out about how quick they are on test drive I thought I was doing 60klm but looked at speedo it was nearly 75klm will keep a good eye on that or back pocket will suffer.

I bought a beautiful little mazda 2 just before Christmas and I also have discovered that they can go really fast all by themselves!!!! Its not me because I am a very careful SLOW driver, so it must be the car!!!!! Can't find fault with the car though, it is absolutely beautiful. Got to be careful, son is a copper!!! I taught him to drive many years ago, I would die of embarrassment if I got caught speeding!!! cheers Capricorn

Friends dropped in today with their new BT50 and said it has great fuel economy. Far better than their old car which was pulling a far smaller van. Our son has a Mazda CX9 and it's a lovely car to drive.

Tks for your welcome neilnruth. The Cx9 IS a beautiful car, but I would always go for Diesel after ownig a Ranger, for economy and grunt while towing.

Yes, son has the CX9 for his kids safety. Friend has the RT50 diesel to tow his large van.
