Here at Greens Lake, I think the local natives have got their long weekend mixed up. That committee meeting We were going to have to discuss departure time, well, we had it it last night and the unanimous decission was, we go befor next weekend. I don't like crouds these days, I don't think me and myself are very keen on them as well.

(don't like crowds) That's a sign of old age

I'm getting philosophical Doug ... Once you actually feel peace, the enjoyment of it becomes important! Those who have never experienced it seem to be hell-bent on making noise with their loud music, motor-bikes, even motor-boats. I dont think its age Wombat, although the experience may not come till later in life.

Many years ago some oldie told me that we lose our tolerance for noise as we get older. I believe it now.

Gday...
Well said Gerty.
I enjoy chatting to people. However, I do not like crowds (or towns with populations over 1,000) and I must admit I think it is because I have savoured the peace of nature and her wonderful offerings especially since becoming a gypsy.
In many ways, I think I am a lot like Dawa (from what I gather from her posts) love the peace, the solitude when I choose it and my own company.
So, Doug, I have been at Greens when it has the 'locals' and crowds - at those times, it certainly is a great place to avoid.
Cheers - John
