Thanks all for the info . With all the rain around we might just sit in the van in our driveway and pretend . We'll save heaps on fuel too. Cheers

Hi, was reading your post ,re might sit in your van in your drive way,I had to post back a reply to you...We own some land down the coast from where we are based at the moment,we have one of those Amish type sheds built on it ,we were staying down there one brake from work with caravan parked next to shed, Along came this council guy telling us we could not have the van parked there as it was not connected to the building ???? But i can park beside a public road but not on my own property.I know your situation is very different to our's ,but just thought i would let you know how country is being over regulated with so many differing rules from state to state on every thing from Rego/ insurance/licenceing, and the differeing reg,s inside the work force. That is one reason a lot of people from one state to the next state cannot get jobs in the mines if not living in that state .As they have all the required tickets in the state they live in but , not recinised in another state. But the goverment allows workers from O/S . Hard to fatherm all this out.
Try this site for road info.
Sometimes it can help decide if the area is affected by floods/Fire etc.
http://qldalert.com/
When you get the site look for the South Burnett heading and there is a list of local road closures.
I don't know the area but there are lots of roads closed.
Cheers

Hi all
Thinking of taking a short break around Kingaroy area ( Thurs to Sun) and free camping .
Probably a silly question but does anyone know how wet it is out that way .
Cheers
My sister said Kumbia was cut off from Kingaroy for about a day so they are pretty wet but not sure how badly the area if affected.
