I expect that there are lots of ex-PMG/Telecom/Telstra employees amongst The Grey Nomad Community.
For them it seems that the company has not completely forgotten you & has belatedly established a "Telstra Alumni".
Amongst its offerings is a 10% discount on many Telstra bills.
like .. Fixed Phones, Foxtel thru Telstra, Broadband etc.
for details have a look at https://www.telstra.com/alumni

Well I have registered I wonder if their records go back to the 50's so they can verify that I did in fact work for th PMG, will wait and see if I get a confirming email. I have just dug out the job offer for the company I went to next in 1960 which was International Computers and Tabulators and commencing salary was $40.90 per week Cheers David

David ...
All you need is your employee number ...
Funny, I can't remember what I did yesterday or what is planned for next week, or even what I just went downstairs for, but I can remember my Telstra Employee number (even though it was rarely used), my Army number & even my Father's number in WW2.
Is it the cheap wine that causes this?

I havn't got the any idea what my PMG number was, but that part of the registration form did not have the the essential asterisk and the only bit of paper that I have is my certificate of proficiency at the end of my 5 year training and that had no employee number on it. Cheers David

Might just have to wait for NBN but then that probably won't help your wireless stuff. Perhaps Malcolm has a solution for you. LoL
Maybe then wait for some other Telco willing to build an Australia wide wireless network ... good luck with that ....
Or just hitch up!
Great here in Brissie with co-axial cable.
