Reads a lot better to us Beth as we thought we'd have to give Boynedale a miss. We were disappointed to read that Boynedale was small dogs only & ours certainly don't qualify. As we most probably will be back in the Bundy area about then it would be a good opportunity to meet others

Just found a post in Solos from yeoeleven, entitled Waruma Dam. He loved it and put up some big photos. Looks good to me.

Type Waruma Dam into Search at the top. Its the 1st one to show up. I'm all for Waruma Dam after seeing Johns photos.
It is a nice area, I have crap service tonight so pics are not loading correct, as you go down towards the dam the first camp area on the right is the best section with the most room & some grassed area.
The second area is on the other side if the ridge, good spot as well but not as big so if you get a few it would be a little crowded. Both areas are within walking distance of each other. Flushing toots & cold shower, all up on the ridge top
This was in 2011.

For those who haven't clicked on the links, don't forget that you have to have a Permit to Fish.

Was talking to some guys over in the shower block earlier to night ,who have just come back from down there fishing ,they said the Barra are going crazy there at the moment. They recon it is due to all the rain we have had around these parts.

was there last year, very pretty place & the fishing is good, but as you can see by Yeoeleven,s pics
a lot of it is very hilly, just makes it a bit award setting up, extra blocks would be a good idea.
Cheers Dave

Well, you've all been busy while I was gone! Just a busy day, not gone away yet.
I'm so pleased about all this positive feedback. Boynedale was starting to worry me. So Wuruma Dam it is! And it's a little closer for me too. Bonus!
I have an appointment on the 19/4 so I won't get away until the 20/4. I'll probably stop along the way for one night, so all going well, I'll be there on the 21/4.
See ya there!

Can't make it the weekend of the 20th (daughter's wedding) but if anyone is going to be there the following weekend will try to get there weather and finances ( daughters' weddings can get expensive and I've got two this year) permitting.
Not too far for me so the cost should be negligible (famous last words)
Has anyone been here? This may be our new choice for the Qld Autumn Meet, as it seems Boynedale may be a washout..literally!
It's NW of Eidsvold, or SW of Monto. Or 197 kms west of Bundaberg.

I notice Petengale have been there too. He seems to find all the good fishing spots! Along with Bill.
Been there twice, low tide first time, high tide the second. Definately better at high tide.
A couple of pics from my Waruma file.
