We have found a small wet patch in a corner of van under and wanted to know what is the best way to dry it and find out where the leak will be ,before it becomes a major issue

do you have an aerial on the roof?? is the rubber socked over the intake of wire in the right place ?? and are your window tracks not dirty so the water can run away ??
hope this will help you David
best of luck John

Are you refering to the joins around the area of the leak or all joins in the roof as a water leak can occur further away from where the water finally appears.

My eyesight cant tell from your photo whether theres a window with a cover on the front of your van... thats an area where leaks often occur.

I'd use a fan to dry the area out, then when it's totally dry after a few days I'd get someone outside to direct a sprinker onto the front of the van whilst you are inside with a bright torch trying to locate where it is coming from. There are plenty of seams that only need a tiny break in their seal to start wicking water into the van. Good Luck.
