I imagine you would do the same as if at home. Keep them all in a folder as well as any receipts for costs relevant to that job. At the end of the financial year go into H & R Block with the lot or your own accountant if you have one. I can't see any problems as one job would be following the other as you move around. Good luck, get out there and enjoy. Trying to talk my older son to do the same, life is so short.

Thanks Happywanderer
I suppose the issue will be if on the move, the employee will need to send to an address at the end of the financial year - or would they give me one at the end of the employment? Having been doing the same job now for 38 years, I am a bit out of touch and appreciate the help this forum can give.
Cheers.

Probably just need to have a "residential" address, same as for Centrelink - where your mail goes to - family or friend usually.

Some employers will give one at the end of your working time there. Others who have computer generated payslips etc can only do them at the end of the financial year. Keep an address where they can be sent to, if you don't have one ask a friend or relative if you can use their address for mail.

If you have the same accountant do your tax return each year, you could have employers send group certs to that firm.
If doing jobs while travelling, is good idea to use an accountant, even if you haven't before. There may well be deductions available that you are not aware of - example, if you are working outdoors, the cost of sunscreen. If you move from one job to next, you may be able to claim travel costs. You will need to keep good records, yourself.
There are also different tax zones in Australia - your accountant should be aware of these. There are qualifying periods for becoming eligible for remote zone rebate - and remote zone covers a surprising amount of the country. A lot of the tourist operations up north that employ workers in the tourist season are remote zone.

you should fill out an employment declaration at the commencement of each job- this needs your address so this is where the group certificate will be sent

Each time we start a new job, we just elect to have our group certs emailed to us.No problem that way, just down load them on to a thump drive and take that and what else you need to take to who ever when you have your tax done.As of last year (July) the taxation laws changed a lot regarding deductions for working around Oz So it would pay you to really find out about it all.Go to gov web site or ask a taxation guru.A lot of the dedutions once allowed are not allowed . One i know of is if fruit picking you must have another fruiting picking job to go to and start sorted out before you leave the job you are at.Can not have a brake between jobs , it has to be kind of continual....We do not bother with claiming any of it,as just to much damn paper trail to be worth it. I choose this life to get away from all that crap ,not to be bogged down with it on the road....Some of my men who work for me claim some of the stuff , like the remote allowance , but the places you can claim from are dictated by the tax dept. It used to be about $1.300 per year pluss fuel money from where you are based to the nearest location for you to have your tax done.Hope this little bit of info may help you out.

Greetings Herbie
Basically anything - not fussed - caravan parks, farms, night fill etc - will be a bit choosy as I will have a pension coming in once I turn 55 later this year and still want it to be a holiday.
Just want to earn some play cash along the way - cheers.
