There's a lot of traffic on that highway, most of them are very noisy, and just suitable for stopping for a quick break, but the Edmondson VC (Camps 7 #701) is good, off the highway, and more space. There's no use taking a kayak to Lake George, the water's edge is a looong way from the highway and its private farmland.
