The Goomeri Pumpkin Festival is on at the end of this month, Sunday 26th May.
I don't know a lot about it other than the adverts in the paper. Would love to go, sounds fun.
Does anybody have storys from their visits and details on camping there etc.

Someone else was going there too, I just can't remember who. Oh, it was a group (not our GN's) who were camped at Dickabram Bridge when we were there. They were from Bribie Island and said they go every year. It sounded like fun.

Hi Marj, thanks for your company in Biggenden - I really enjoyed it.
I stayed at Goomeri for abour a week. I stayed at the showground that being the only place you can stay if the Pumpkin Festival isn't on. It's a nice little showground but be sure to stay at the end closest to the main road because the amenities at the other end are very ordinary and I don't think there's a shower. There's a cheese shop in town that's positively evil and they sell yummy ice creams as well as fabulous cheeses.
I would have loved to have stayed for the festival but it would have meant staying there way too long.
Enjoy!!!

Did not go to the festival, however there is a Goomeri Pumpkin Festival cookbook available with recipes all pumpkin. I bought it about 18 months ago when in the area, and it is a valuable member of my cook book collection. If you do go, try to get a copy of it.
You'll find a lot of info on this link....
