Fantastic Cindy and thank you, hopefully it will improve the forum and keep it on track, good to see.
As well as a clear subject title, one thing I would like to see is members putting a state on their locations, eg; raining in Woop Woop or great camping spot at Woop Woop means nothing to someone who has never been there or heard of the place.
Others more travelled may know the place but many others especially those from other states won't.
Members shouldn't have to google a place to find out where it is when a simple addition of a state by the poster would suffice unless reader wants to find out more.

I totally agree Vic. I commented on some great photos before, but as I don't go into the other forum about where you are...I just want to know, not search through threads trying to find the right poster, so I can get this info. It would have been so much simpler to have added the name of the place to the original photo.

Sounds good to me. A bit of clarity in naming the threads is good and most conditions are fairly standard and good manners.

Good idea ,as some times us travelled nomads ,read some thing and have no idea where the place / location is, so how some one newbies or people from N/z or where ever would have no hope of ever knowing where this special place to visit is state/ teritory/

There REALLY is a Woop Woop!!!! .... and its in WA !!!! In the 2006 Australian Census, 403 people considered Woop Woop (as part of Noggerup) the place they most likely call home. The average person was a comfortable 42 years of age, and they had a less than average weekly gross income of around $450 per week. Woop Woop folk that are on their way to owning their own home, found they had an affordable weekly mortgage of around $312. For renters, the average rent in Noggerup was around $92 a week. In terms of employment, 51.36% of people in Noggerup were considered a part of the workforce.

The reaction we got when asked for address while working/ living was in WA was when we were based at a mine site and it was called Usless Loop, must admit the reactions were pricless from people. Even the police one time getting pulled up for random breath test did a double take when he looked at my license.

Thank you Rosie for the info. As for the other place name, Sue has just told me to drink my wine and no quips.

Cindy has done a great job in putting in writing the forum rules and guidelines - they have always been there, just not in writing, so now no excuses! Behave yourselves!!!!!!!

Perhaps Cindy could add to break posts up into paragraphs especially long ones to make it easier to read.

Shame that the link that Cindy announced the newly written rules on is locked and does not have provision for the list members to comment or make suggestions.

It's a set of forum rules (read only) not asking for comment or suggestion, they are designed to inform all members about how they are expected to interact and behave on Grey Nomads.
I have just read the new "Forum Rules" Section at the bottom of the the index page, see;

Here it is Dougie...Say "thank you"
Subject title clarity - yes!
And the state in which a town is. Even worse, just the name of a creek. Pretty hard to find those on Google Maps.
I hope the Rules Section gets the attention from those who need to read it.
