Popped in to Childers today, parked in the angle centre parking.
As I looked across to the footpath while chatting to a couple in the next vehicle, who should be standing there with a big grin on his face was Jim (JustCruising). Jim and Leonie had been sitting outside the bakery when I drove past looking for a park.
Spent a lovely time, must have been about an hour, chatting to them both. Last time I saw them was at the Cobb and Co get together this time last year. Before that was at Greens Lake in Victloria. My gosh it is a small world. You never know who is around the next corner.
Thank you Jim and Leonie. A pleasure catching up with you again.

So true JC, the couple I was chatting to as I got out of the van were asking me about my Grey Nomads sticker on the back. I had just finished saying, there are heaps of grey nomads on the road, I looked up to see you grinning at me. "There's one now" Its like birdwatching. You just never know when the next one pops into view.

It's a small world when you have wheels under you. There are a lot of GN's on the road in all forms of recreational vehicles.

I think there is a bit to do and see around childers, bird farm, reptile park and memorial for the Backpackers burnt in the fire. they do cater for nomads, worth a stay next time you go through.
