I see a lot of reference to camps Australia in the various editions, i have a copy of camps 6 which i think is great. i have also come across a website or app for wikicamps i have been using it to look at the various sites and places that members are at. It looks to me to be a great cheap and easy to use resource That gives photos and info.
are you experienced members aware of it and what do you think of it.

Yes it is Fantastic, it is a user generated app that allows personal comments, updates and site additions as well. It was very cheap to buy

Yes, it's been mentioned several times, but not everyone uses a smartphone or in my case wants to spend money to download the app. I know you said cheap, but I assume one has to pay for it with a credit card, of which I don't have.
$2.99 . It costs us that to get out of bed these days . The CAW books are anything from $45 to $80 .

Wiki Camps .... We don't leave home without it. Have it open in front of us now planning our 2-3 month trip through Queensland. I generally cross check the short list with other sites and google before deciding and that generally confirms it.
cheers

I use Telstra prepaid and on the android store purchases come off my prepaid credit. I think if on postpaid/contract it is added to your monthly bill.

My son installed wikicamps on my android tablet last night. Seems to work OK. Didn't cost anything either. Will test it out next week when I finally leave for six months. I hope.

Double check the information, we had our property listed with phone number and contains which as a user generated site were removed, we arrived home to find motorhomers parked up , which was both embarrassing for them and us. I have since removed our listing from wiki , but its still on independent camping. I have been using wiki on this trip but check the results.

I use Camps Australia Wide 6, plus I check http://ozcamps.net/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29 and http://www.caravancaravan.com.au/
Between them, I wouldn't think I'm missing much.
Another thumbs-up for wikicamps .
