If you can still ride a bike (balance), Magic Bob (GN member) had one of these electric scooters at our recent Get Together at Beverley, handle bars and seat comes off easily, not sure what else. He went down to the shops in it a few times, also said he has a passenger trailer for it in case his wife wants to go with him, not sure of the make, you could pm him to find out;

Jep... ! thinking about getting one of these mobility scoother vehicles ,
some days I really need to be able to get about more than I am able to at the moment.
Does anyone have any helpfull thoughts about these things in regards to type , size and on road issues. etc.
Load it into my car by myself and unloadd it , so weight has to be considered.
I want to take it camping , being able to get about a bush campsite
Athritus is getting the better of me ,
some days I am able to get about like any normal person
but other days I am really stuck as if my legs are glued to the floor.
camping is not the easiest thing to do , having two legs
that want to go on strike at the drop of a hat .
But I do intend to do as much camping as I can regardles of the issues .
At the moment some days , I have no difficulty in walking ,
BUT there are many days that cause me concern ,
at these times on my bad days I can only try to move or even sit on the ground
untill I can get mobile again .Getting a M/scooter will be a help on those bad days
I saw a couple of women with m/scooters at a caravan park yesterday ,
I was really keen to have a chat about their camping issues but before I could get
anywhere near the women thay had scooted off towards the other end of the park .
I was not up to getting myself to their camp . I was not walking at km per hour
but rather ,a metres per hour rate.
At this travel rate it gives me ample time to look about where I am ............ha ha ha
I am going to talk to a mobility scooter shop this week to see what is on offer.
I have now got a pair of ramps so as to load the scooter into the car .
all I need now is a scooter
Hi Neilbrith
Great to get your message
You are right , I did check that I will need to keep the van weigh
To a minimum.
I don't usually carry that much when camping.
No unnecessary junk . The generator 2kv is placed at the back end of the van
Cheers from Paul
Search... ?
Yes I now have a mobility scooter
Not sure what happened there. I posted the above comment but when you quoted it, it disappeared from my post! Glad you have your scooter.
Strange things do happen with internet
Especially with IPhone , I noticed.
I am going to the Wongi camp .
I hope I can manage using
A scooter to get. About.
Photo please, I am looking for one to, would like to see what everyone else has first, thanks, Norma
