traveling from robe to christies beach was an experience that came out of the blue
checking the google maps found it it took us nearly up to adalaide and back down so rang the caravan park and they said why dont you take the ferry at wellington
so on line i went and found that we where just down the road from it and we did just that and it was free
it was fun the highlight of the day ha ha
but the best part was we saw towns that we would never have gone though and the scenery and landscape was beautiful
yes we used a bit more fuel as it is quite hilly and towing a van did not help but i tell you what we where glad we did
my tablet showed us the way and at times it appeared to take us down roads that we thought would end up nowhere but the tablet was right
so now we are at christies beach for a week beautiful place

Margaret, If you are at the Christies Beach caravan park we could come down for a visit as we don't live too far away. yes the ferry is a good way to go the reason the Ferry is free is because they classify it as a road. Helena.

Welcome to SA Margaret. Bit chilly this time of the year but there's heaps to see and the McLaren Vales wineries aren't far from where you're staying and there's some great coastline south of Christies. Enjoy the place.
