Any advice appreciated on an up-to-date source for caravan park reports.
I have been using Badgers, but it seems the reports are all at least 2 to 3 years out of date.
Cheers, Tony

You could buy the Caravan Parks Australia wide put out by the same people who do the CAW books.....lists all the caravan parks not some selected ones that pay to be in the magazines of the RAC/NRMA publications. Even the RAC (at least in Perth) sell that publication and you get 20% off if your a member, or Dymocks book shop 10% off for Seniors. Also available from some camping stores.

Yep, agree with Duh on that one. I have 'Caravan Parks Australia Wide' and use it when I want a CV Park for a night or longer. I have found some really nice little parks and $20 or under too.
I also have the 'Bible', 'Camps Australia Wide' for when I want 'Free' or 'Alternative' Camping.
I wouldn't leave home without them.
The maps are good too as they show you how to avoid being Dazzled by Wombats and Gypsy's.

Gday...
I too use Badgers and find many reports are a bit old.
However, this can easily be remedied. When we do visit a park, check Badgers to see if there is a current report and if there isn't, then put one in.
It is very simple to do and we will be helping each other. Badgers is only as good as we make it.
Even if the reports are a bit dated they can still give an overall indication. The Badgers site seems to be reasonably well vetted to remove overly vexatious reports.
Some other review sites such as Google and Tripadviser can be hijacked by people with a vested interest submitting vexatious and false reviews.

Tonyd the only reason the reports are old is because people that use Badgers site dont send in up to date reports .
If you use a park send in a report .

I sent in a couple of reports once, one of them was for a park that hadn't been listed, however they weren't put on the website. Since it took a bit of time going through the procedure I didn't bother again. Badger does this voluntarily, hes probably got other things in his life like all of us.
Also GoseeAustralia, haven't got a link to that one.

If you have a smart phone of iPad, try the Wikicamps App. I think it costs $1.99. It is a user generated App and it is constantly updated with info and pictures by users. You can read all about the app here:
