Just read about it on the Home Page of this site - handbrake - it's there for a reason! Lucky guy and dog though.

I'll see if this works.
Didn't work. I hope no-one has fiddled with the way this works for me, as all of a sudden, when I have it underlined, the link boxes show active. Never happened before, and I don't want to have to use them. I like the way it was before. Can't work out all that URL stuff.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Interesting story. I know a lady who was injured when a bus in which she was a passenger, was T-boned by a truck which rolled away without its handbrake. Don't forget your handbrakes folks!

When I worked as a bread vendor, driving one of those old red Ford Transit vans for Tip Top Bakeries, I had anything up to 250 home deliveries to do in a day making me often pressed for times. Most times I use to pull up, dive out of the van, hurdle the front fence, run up to the house, dump the bread on the porch and was gone in a flash. Sometimes I was so quick the people would ring the company complaining that by the time they came out to pay me I was already half way down the street.
Point is, one time, as can happen, I missed that last click on the handbrake. I was up the steps of a house on the front porch collecting money when, looking over my shoulder, spied my van slowly rolling down the street without me. I was off in a flash sprinting back down the steps and down the road eventually catching up with the runaway loaves but, on catching the wayward van and getting the door open, to my dismay, I couldn't quite get to the break in time so, what seemed to me in slow motion it proceeded to gently demolish the brick fence of a house, which, luckily, was enough to stop it's forward momentum. Seconds later the front door of the house opened & half a dozen asians came pouring out frantically talking and gesticulating at the van and what was left of their fence. The problem was, I couldn't understand a word of what they were saying so all I could do was point at the big Tip Top sign on the side of the van and say as clear as I can 'ring them".
I can laugh about it now.
Cheers
Jon

Mmmm, I remember those deliveries. I'd trade my front fence for one of those fruit buns

I was delivering newpapers once and got out of a Ford Escort to re place a paper thrown badly and the van rolled off without me. I ran after it and caught it though thankfully.

Remember to use your handbrake or, better still, just turn your engine off and leave it in gear or park when diving out for that quick photo.
