It seems that there are a growing number of travellers on the roads these days. Here at Kerribee Park at Mareeba in Nth Qld, the numbers onsite last night passed the 100 units .. this is more than twice what it was this time last year ..
.. and a great number of them are new to this place .. they pop in to stay overnight and then either extend their stay or drop back in at another time .. so .. if anyone is heading this way to spend time here for the Rodeo (in about 5 weeks time) I would seriously suggest you consider getting here early ..
Last year, most of the powered sites were taken up a week before the Rodeo .. this year .. who knows .. (there are no bookings taken either).

Biggles I think there have been a lot of new forum members over the last few weeks buying new vans and introducing themselves. It seems like a lot more than usual to me anyway. If it's as crowded as you say, there might be a few who change their minds about going north. We certainly still have quite a few on the NSW south coast highways.

I think the numbers will just keep growing actually .. this spot is also a popular place where 4x4's leave their vans to head up to the cape and tent it ..
Having said that, there's also a lot of dirty vans that have been up to the top and back that stop a few days to clean up ..
Time will tell ..

I am seeing heaps and heaps on the road. I had to travel down to Clare today and there are vans everywhere. The CP was nearly full.
