I'm thinking of popping out there on my way south next week Wondering the same myself Would rather read first hand experience than any weather forecasts that may be wrong

I have relatives at the ridge and out there a lot. Summer is HOT, best time is winter . Opel van park, hot baths accross the road. Agro.

Mornings can be coolish and the nights can get cold,but during the day it is beautiful weather. Summer would be a scorcher of a place to be though.Best time to visit is around now.If you are only staying over night or two a lot of people just pull into the Baths area and camp ,there is toilets and showers and BBQ.
Is July a good time to visit Lightning Ridge? would it be too cold then?
I'm heading in that direction on the 4th.
